I am Prasenjit Dhar, an artist from Kolkata with roots in Guwahati, Assam. For over fifty years, art has been my constant companion — a space where observation becomes story, and imagination becomes form. My practice is grounded in realism, symbolism, and the emotive power of chiaroscuro, shaped by the techniques and sensibilities of the old masters. A Post Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, I work primarily in oil and watercolor, while also exploring acrylics and pen.
